We had 13 folks associated with Highland Rim Chapter in attendance at the Fall meeting. (Jim & Marietta, Dick & Camille, Joan & Tom, Joan H, Joette, Sharon, Nora, Theresa, Mark B and Hailee Y). Beautiful setting, interesting programs, (Jim gave a great recap of TTA history) some very interesting hikes that were a little out of the ordinary. For example hikes at Megar Evans State Park included a boat ride over and back. One hike to the Appalachian Craft Center area included a very nice tour of the craft galleries. Other hikes included the Cedars of Lebanon and Virgin Falls. Some great values at the fund raiser auctions.

Buggytop Cave
While there was a lot of folks making the trip, including a scout troop from Nashville, it came down to Dave Anderson and I making the trip to and through the cave. The trip was lead by two rangers from South Cumberland. This cave system drains Lost Cove so when it rains a lot of water can flow through the cave. A short walk in and short walk out. Inside the cave is another story with a lot of boulder hopping and a few crawls. Yes that is a picture of Dave.
