Hello everyone,
Here is an opportunity to help a friend in need after the awesome hike at Tims Ford this Saturday morning.
Hopefully by now everyone has heard of the tornado that ripped through Gary Fergus' parent's property.
Many logs have now been removed which leaves a lot of branches and brush to be gathered up to be burned.
Around twenty adults and scouts helped last weekend. The weather looks favorable for another weekend to assist with the clean up.
Gary suggests that you bring tree loppers, chain saws, gloves and whatever else you own to assist. He could really use a four wheeler to drag the
limbs to the pile for burning. Remember to bring plenty of water, sun protection and snacks as well.
Contact Gary (931-247-8985 or 454-0819) or me if you are able to assist and need directions to "Fergus Lane".
Remember that Saturday morning Joan Hartvigsen will be leading a hike at Tims Ford State Park. She will lead you down Lost Creek Trail, as well as a section of the Ray Branch Trail.
The hike is about 5 miles and is rated easy. For more information contact Joan at 931-962-0811.
