AEDC - Sinking Pond and Bradley Creek hikes

Many thanks go out to the AEDC (ATA) team and our fearless  leader, AKA Barbie, who lead TTA members through the soggy bottom lands of of Bradley Creek and to the rather buggy, generally off limits, Sinking Pond area. It is not often we have a chance to hike in these sort of areas due to the lack of trails or access. Dick McClure provided the pan composite picture of the group.We found several plants that one would not normally see on a mountain side hike including Dragon's Tail and Partridge Berry.

One can go to this USGS site to see water flow, or in the case of Sinking pond, water levels. It was interesting to be able to see the USGS gauge knowing that the complex path that the information came to get to my PDA in my hand was only a recent capability. You can use this site to check water flow on rivers and lakes. I will add some more pictures when I get them. Mountain Laurel in full bloom on Beckwith trail. Truly beautiful in all stages of bloom. Enjoyed Marty McCullough and King Jamison from Murfreesboro. 13 total on hike, we could have left one hiker on the trail by Highland Rim Chapter rules (think Golden Squirrel award). Other PICTURES
